HOUSTON, Texas — Former President George H.W. Bush is back in the hospital, spokesman Jim McGrath confirmed Tuesday.
He was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Friday due to a persistent cough, according to the statement. It was determined he had a mild case of pneumonia and was treated.
McGrath also said the 41st president is in good spirits and being held at hospital until he regains his strength.
President Bush was admitted to the ICU in January with an acute respiratory problem.
