BUSHWICK, Brooklyn — One firefighter was injured while battling a fast-moving Brooklyn apartment fire Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out just before 4 p.m. on the top floor of a 3-story building on Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick.

It quickly grew to three alarms, spreading to surrounding buildings.
By 5 p.m., the fire was placed under control.
A video uploaded to Twitter by the FDNY showed thick smoke coming from the roof of one of the buildings.
The FDNY reports a firefighter has a minor injury. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
Two teams from the Red Cross are on their way to the scene.
