NEW YORK — This 104-year-old elf is on Santa’s naughty list.

Trooper Elf is wanted for “overall mischief,” according to a cheeky wanted poster issued by New York State Police on Wednesday.

Elf, who police described as being a couple of inches tall, is allegedly responsible for missing candy and misplaced stetsons at police stations throughout New York.

Police said Elf is originally from the North Pole. Officers said he brought new holiday decorations and an overall festive spirit to New York State Police stations.

Officials have requested that New Yorkers thank Trooper Elf if they locate him.

The mischievous elf has brown hair and blue eyes. He has been known to wear a red cap trimmed with white fur.

Vigilant New Yorkers eager to help police locate Elf have shared the New York State Police’s wanted poster more than 4,000 times on Facebook.
