NEW YORK — It's that time of year.

Neighbors put up decorations and even the smallest apartments can deck the halls.

Some of the most famous displays are in New York City.

Dyker Heights, Brooklyn is world famous for streets full of lights and animated characters. Homes between 81st and 86th streets around 11th Avenue offer prime viewing for the season.

The city has tried to accommodate tour buses hat arrive nightly by creating a parking zone along 86th Street.

Window displays at Macy's and along 5th Avenue in Manhattan are also an experience.

Google offers a way to see them on your phone.
