Williamsburg double stabbing leaves 1 dead, 1 critically injured: police

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn — One person is dead and another is in critical but stable condition after a double stabbing in Williamsburg early Sunday morning.

Just after midnight, police responded to a call of an assault on the 200 block of Heyward Street. When they arrived, they found two victims of an apparent stabbing.

Delvin Martinez, 31, had stab wounds in his torso and neck, police said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The second still unidentified victim, a 29-year-old man, suffered stab wounds to his torso, neck and face, according to police. EMS transported him to the hospital in critical but stable condition.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident and police are investigating.
