MARINE PARK, Brooklyn — A 9-year-old boy was critically injured in a multivehicle car crash in Marine Park on Friday morning, police said.

A 54-year-old female driver in a sedan collided with a box truck around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Avenue P and Ryder Street, officials said.

The collision sent the sedan careening toward the sidewalk, police said. It jumped the curb and hit the boy, who was waiting for a bus at the time. It is not immediately clear what caused the crash.

The boy was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical, but stable condition by a private Hatzolah ambulance, officials said.

Officials have not released the child’s name.

Both drivers remained on the scene, police officials said. No arrests have been made.
