SOUTH RICHMOND HILL, Queens — A 50-year-old man was arrested in Queens early Monday after he allegedly fatally stabbed his girlfriend in the neck, police officials said.
Officers recovered a knife near the body of the victim, a woman in her 40s, police said. She was stabbed in the neck on the street corner near 124th Street and 103rd Avenue in South Richmond Hill.
Officers arrested her boyfriend just a few blocks away near 126th Street and Liberty Avenue after they received a 911 call around 12:15 a.m., NYPD officials said.
It was not immediately clear what led to the incident.
The boyfriend has not yet been charged by police.
Police have not released the names of either the man or the victim, and earlier provided different ages for both.
