DYKER HEIGHTS, Brooklyn – A Dyker Heights homeowner is calling for help in search for his missing life-sized Santa after a Grinch took it from his yard Tuesday afternoon.

Anthony Parascandolo, who lives in a neighborhood with houses dressed in over-the-top holiday lights and figurines, uploaded surveillance video to social media showing the man who ran away with his St. Nick decoration on November 29, at around 5:45 p.m.

The footage shows the thief pulling out plugs connected to 5-foot inflatable Santa in front of his 75th Street home before carrying the holiday display away in an unknown direction.

On Parascandolo’s Facebook page, he pleads with friends to keep an eye out. He wrote: “if you see a neighbor that has put out a decoration similar to this that you may have not noticed before today, who may have already had there decorations up…please let me know!”

Parascandolo’s Santa has been a fixture in front of his residence for the last three years. He filed a report to police with the 68th Precinct on Tuesday after he discovered it was missing.

The New York Police Department had no further information.
