BUSHWICK, Brooklyn — Police have charged a 20-year-old man in the rape and robbery of a Brooklyn woman in late July.
Romaric Guiebre of Brooklyn was charged with assault; burglary; grand larceny; criminal sexual act; unlawful imprisonment; menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, police announced Wednesday.
Guiebre allegedly entered the 29-year-old victim's Bushwick apartment on July 25 after finding a hidden key and unlocking the door.
Sources say when the victim opened the door, the suspect asked "do you want me to rape or kill you?" before tying her up.
Guiebre, who had a silver firearm, allegedly raped the victim and stole several of her personal items.
Police released surveillance video and a sketch of Guiebre following the incident.
