Multiple people injured in shootings across 3 boroughs during violent night in NYC

NEW YORK — New York City police responded to four shootings within three hours on Sunday during the Memorial Day weekend.

The first shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, at 111th Street and First Avenue, in front of the Thomas Jefferson Houses in Manhattan’s East Harlem neighborhood.

Police say a dispute started between a 25-year-old man and another man which resulted in the 25-year-old being shot in the stomach. The suspect fled the scene towards Second Avenue.

The victim was transported to New York Hospital in stable condition.

The second incident happened around 10:50 p.m. at 155th Street and 118th Avenue in Queens South Jamaica area.

Police responded to find three men had been shot. They were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Just a few minutes later police responded to a third shooting in Queens Richmond Hill neighborhood — at 91-60 110th Street, to find two men shot, one in the leg and the other in the stomach. They were transported to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

Police later responded to a fourth shooting at 20 Prince St.  in Staten Island around 11:18 p.m.

A man was found sitting in his car with a gunshot wound to his head. He was rushed to Richmond University in critical condition.

No arrests have been made in any of the shootings.
