1 dead, 1 injured in East Flatbush shooting

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn — Police are searching for three suspects in connection with a fatal shooting in Brooklyn Monday evening.

According to police, the shooting happened in front of 219 E. 56th St., in East Flatbush around 7 p.m.

When police arrived on the scene, they found two men, 33 and 31, with gunshot wounds.

The 33-year-old was rushed to Brookdale Hospital where was pronounced dead. Police say he was shot once in the face. His name has not been released pending family notification.

The second victim was shot once in the back and taken to Kings County Hospital. Police say he is in critical condition but is not likely to die.

Police are now searching for three men who fled the scene after the shooting.
