BAYCHESTER, Bronx – Cops searched several wooded areas and a local park for signs of a Bronx mother-to-be who vanished Sunday.
47 Precinct detectives and members of the NYPD crime scene unit searched an embankment near a set of train tracks, a wooded area underneath an elevated set of train tracks and nine-acre Haffen Park for signs of 39-year-old Anndrea Caruth.
Caruth, who is five months pregnant, was last seen on January 3 around 10:30 a.m. at her Corsa Avenue home, police said.
Her boyfriend reported her missing when he hadn’t heard from her and noticed she’d left her possessions behind, police sources said.
Caruth had plans to have brunch with a friend Sunday but never showed, according to sources.
A police canine searched the area near Caruth’s home late Tuesday but found nothing.
Cops went door-to-door showing neighbors Caruth’s picture in an effort to find her.
Police describe Caruth as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
