NEW YORK –Donald Trump just can’t seem to resist a good Twitter war.
He’s been taking to the social media site to slam fellow candidates, countries, Miss Universe contestants, and various politicians alike.
A lot of tension stirred this weekend after Trump retweeted a user who said Jeb Bush must like illegal Mexican immigrants because of his wife. Columba Bush came to the United States from Mexico legally.
The tweet was deleted soon after, but as we all know, nothing is really ever erased from the internet. The controversial post flooded the news cycle and Internet databases alike.
Well, another day, another disagreement.
In one of the most recent battles, Modern Family writer Danny Zuker called out Trump for being a hypocrite. The quarrel actually began in early June.
Do you think Donald was going to let this one slip by his radar? Not a chance. The business mogul went back at Zuker in full-force Trump manner.
Shots were fired back and forth for a while and, almost not surprisingly, are still going on today.
So far, Trump’s presidential campaign has been highly-publicized thanks to The Donald’s social media wars and controversial statements. But to take on a short-hand comedy writer in a duel of 140 characters was a steep challenge for the real estate mogul.
Zuker writes for an Emmy Award winning comedy television show about modern American extended families–with same sex couples and people of color prospering and being held together by the bonds of humanity.
It was no surprise that Zuker was prepared to head into full combat with this one.
According to Zuker’s Twitter account, Trump “cowardly blocked” the writer this past weekend.
The verdict? Highly entertaining. But a successful move in the presidential push for Trump? You make the call…
