Experts weigh in on recent crime statistics in NYC

The latest crime statistics showed that felony crimes dropped over eight percent in the month of June. Though the number of homicides and shootings dropped for the month, murders are still up 11% citywide.

Former detective sergeant and PIX11 contributor Wally Zeins and President of the Sergeants Benevolent Association Ed Mullins gave some insight onto the new statistics and the city's strategy for cleaning up crime.
