BROOKLYN-- Wednesday is a special day for Brooklyn and the Nets. It's the first-ever Brooklyn Nets Neighborhood Day.

More than 100 Brooklyn Nets staffers, as well as Nets players Markel Brown, Cory Jefferson and Mason Plumlee, will engage with Brooklynites in more than 15 neighborhoods in the borough as part of the "We Are Neighbors" initiative.

From 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., the staff will be out in the community and handing out free Nets merchandise as the tip-off to the team's summer ticket sales and marketing campaign.

In addition, Markel Brown and Mason Plumlee will sign autographs and meet fans at the Nets Shop by Adidas at Barclays Center.

Brown will be there at noon to 1:30 p.m. and Plumlee will be there from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Cory Jefferson will sign autographs at Modell's Sporting Goods at 360 Fulton St. from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
