CHICAGO, Ill. (PIX11) — Alarming new details in the murder case of a 14-year-old girl indicates her mother was taunted by the killer via text messages.
According to ABC, Brenda O’Laughlin received a slew of strange, horrifying texts from her 14-year-old daughter, Kelli’s phone in October 2011.
“Love your pic”
“She wanted me to tell you something before I killed her.”
“I think you love you Bren”
She had no idea the sender was likely her daughter’s killer. Brenda replied, “Who are you and what do you want?”
“You will know soon when I come see you,” is all she got as a reply.
She came home to find her daughter lying in a pool of blood.
Police say Kelli walked in on a burglary in her home, and was stabbed repeatedly.
Cops linked John Wilson Jr. to the case after his DNA was found at the scene. They also discovered through mobile tracking that his personal phone was travelling with Kelli’s phone.
Wilson’s defense attorney says it’s not out of the question that Kelli stabbed herself, or someone else stabbed her.
