NEW YORK (PIX11) — An Amber Alert has been canceled after the seven-month-old boy abuducted by his noncustodial mother was found safe.

The mother, 25-year-old Marina Lopez of Rockaway, Queens, is in custody. She allegedly took off with her seven-month-old son Mario Danner during a supervised Administration for Children’s Services visit in Harlem on Tuesday afternoon.

Both were located in good condition, but the baby was transfered to a local hospital for precautionary reasons.

The case is raising some very serious questions because the child was taken from a location where he should have been safe.

It all happened at about 3 p.m. Tuesday at the facility at 2090 Seventh Ave. in Harlem which is on the corner of 125th street. According to the Amber Alert, Lopez left the building with her son and may have headed for her apartment on Shorefront Parkway in Rockaway.

The child had been removed from his mother’s custody. Cops say she has mental health issues, is bipolar and has been violent in the past.

Police issued an Amber Alert that went out over cell phones and electronic signs across the region.
