Lady Liberty will be back in business for the Fourth of July.

Liberty Island has been closed since Super Storm Sandy struck, destroying docks, buildings, walkways and security screening facilities.

Remarkably, the statue itself was not damaged.

When visitors return to the island this week, the statue will be surrounded by a new walkway, railings and sea walls.

The ongoing repairs cost $59 million.
