The days of taunting, baiting and trash-talking in sports games are coming to an end in New Jersey.

Beginning this fall, trash-talk will be banned at high school sporting events.

The new rules are in line with the state’s anti-bullying law for schools. Referees would be required to report students and incidents.

Teams would be penalized and the player accused would be investigated for civil rights violations.
