CENTRAL ISLIP, New York (PIX11) – Father of the year, he is not.
Tyreek Langs, age 23, was arrested earlier today by Suffolk County Police for selling heroin while holding his 8-month-old baby in his arms in Central Islip.
Langs exited 45 Peters Blvd., with his daughter in tow, and continued to walk down the street selling heroin to a waiting drug buyer at the corner of Peters Boulevard and Kelly Avenue, according to police.
Fourth Squad detectives and officers from the Crime Control Section were conducting surveillance at the time, and immediately arrested Langs.
He was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The child was released to her great grandmother and Child Protective Services were notified.
Langs is being held at the 4th Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 14.
