Born and raised in Harlem, Rochelle Aytes was always on a path to the world of entertainment. The actress attended the highly regarded LaGuardia High School of Music, Art & Performing Arts and then went on to study at SUNY Purchase. Aytes was also a member of the dance company Ballet Hispanico.
Nowadays, she’s focusing on her acting and can be seen on the juicy new TV series “Mistresses.” The show is based on the UK television series of the same name and follows four women with a lot of drama in their lives. Aytes plays “April,” a widow and single mom who’s quite shy and awkward. Her other leading ladies include Alyssa Milano, Yunjin Kim and Jes Macallan. “Mistresses” airs at 10pm on ABC.
