QUEENS (PIX11) – It was a gruesome scene in Astoria Tuesday after a man jumped in front of a train and his body parts fell to the busy street below.MTA officials confirm a man jumped in front of a northbound “N” train at Broadway station — which is elevated — just after 4 p.m.

The man’s body parts then fell through the tracks and fell onto the ground at 31st Street and Broadway.

Twitter users posted images of the carnage — the man’s body parts strewn across street — which can be seen here and here.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene and has not yet been identified, the FDNY confirmed.

Both “N” and “Q” trains are bypassing the Broadway station as the investigation continues.
