NJ cop arrested in road rage shooting death

A New Jersey police officer has been arrested and charged with second degree murder and manslaughter in the shooting death of a man in Maryland, Maryland State Police said.

Police believe that Joseph Walker, 40,  shot and killed 36-year-old Joseph Harvey, Jr. during an incident of road rage just after 8 p.m. northbound on Route 3 to I-97.

Investigators believe Harvey and his passenger exited their vehicle and approached Harvey in his minivan.

Harvey was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Walker is being help on $1 million bail at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
