Tropical storm Andrea hammers Fla., but what can WE expect?

Andrea is a 60 mph tropical storm which will hug the coast. We will be on the left side of the storm, which will have a tremendous amount of rain with it.

Tropical downpours are likely for the area by Friday afternoon and evening. 1-2” is possible between the morning and evening rush. An additional 1-2” along with a thunderstorm is possible Friday night. Urban and river flooding along with ponding on area roadways will be common during the by the pm drive.

With the new moon and easterly winds, coastal flooding and beach erosion, though minor is possible.  All viewers should pay attention to alerts and warnings and, if necessary, emergency management personnel.
