There are more subway headaches on the horizon.

The MTA announced plans to shut down the R train for more than a year as crews continue repairing damage from Superstorm Sandy.

The repairs are expected to begin in August and will close the Montague tube that connects the line between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

A shuttle bus will run in its place, officials said.

Straphangers can expect a 12-14 month repair process.
