Tons of Atari video games were buried in a landfill located in Alamogordo, New Mexico during the early 1980’s. Rumors of the treasure trove of primitive games has inspired film company Fuel Industries to search the area.
Amongst the buried was the notoriously terrible E.T. “Atari” game.
Currently, the film company is clearing out the landfill, which is located near the Charlie T. Lee Memorial Relief Route in Alamogordo.
The project was approved by the city commission on Tuesday.
According to the contract, for the next six months, the film company will be digging up the landfill in search for the game deemed “worst game ever”.
