MINNESOTA (PIX11) — A Minnesota high school student is being accused of pimping out a younger teammate, serving as a liaison to would-be clients, cops said.
According to authorities, 18-year-old Montia Marie Parker was charged with second-degree felony sex trafficking and felony solicitation, inducement and promotion of prostitution of a 16-year-old student.
Police say after learning that the victim was looking to make some money, Parker allegedly created an ad on Backpage.com for her, and drove her to an apartment to have oral sex with a customer. Parker pocketed the $60 the girl made, depositing it in her bank account, the Star Tribune reported.
The following day, Parker dialed the school pretending to be the mother of the younger student to excuse her from class. Both students left the school and drove to another home where the 16-year-old was told to have sex with a man. The girl got cold feet, cops said, and offered oral sex instead but the man objected.
The victim’s mother, concerned with a call for an unexcused absence from school and unusual behavior from her daughter, checked the teen’s cellphone and saw the text messages to and from Parker. She contacted the authorities in Minneapolis soon after, leading to Parker’s arrest.
Parker, who is free on $50,000 bond, may serve up to 20 years in prison if convicted on the charges.
