Scotch, scotch scotch. Ron Burgundy would weep upon learning that a tanker truck transporting 6,000 gallons of Scotch Tuesday morning overturned and bust into flames in Woodbridge, NJ.
The truck is reportedly owned by B-Line Trucking in Newark, and was passing through a residential neighborhood in the Fords section around 9 a.m. when the accident happened. According to authorities, the driver may have clipped a telephone pole before hitting a parked car.
The truck pitched onto its side with the front end lying on a resident’s lawn and caught fire. It is unclear whether the diesel or the scotch caught fire first.
The driver was not badly injured but was taken by paramedics to Raritan Bay Medical Center as a precaution.
