In Oregon, an embarrassment of riches at Redmond High school
Not 1, not 2, but 29 valedictorians will be graduating Friday.
How did that happen, you ask? Well, the grading system changed, allowing more students to become eligible. Nicknamed the legacy class, this class will be the last group of Redmond seniors graduating together. Half the younger student body was moved to another school.
In case you are wondering how all this is going to work, there will not be 29 speeches. School officials left it up to the valedictorians to work it out. Interesting students wrote an anonymous speech and voted on the top three.
