‘Powerhouse’ wildfire destroys thousands of acres in California

When a fire is a nicknamed “The Powerhouse,” you know you’ve got problems.

That’s exactly what firefighters in California are dealing with.

The Angeles National Forest fire has already burned more than a thousand acres.

So, why is it called “The Powerhouse?”

It’s located in close proximity to a hydro-electric power station.

According to reports, electricity in the area is now being routed around the station.
