Actress Christine White — who achieved a measure of screen immortality  in a classic episode of  “The Twilight Zone” —  has died at age 86.

According to a obituary in the Caroll County Times, White passed away April 14 at the Brinton Woods Nursing Home in Washington, D.C.

White famously played William Shatner’s wife, Mrs. Wilson, in “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” one of the most well-known episodes of the “The Twilight Zone” series. In the episode, Mr. Wilson (Shatner) sees a gremlin meddling with the plane’s engine. Only problem is, Mr. Wilson is the only one that can see the creature.

White also starred in another episode of “The Twilight Zone” titled “The Prime Mover.”

White’s 25-year acting career included roles in “Bonanza,” The Eleventh Hour,” “The Fugitive,” and many other television shows and feature films.
