MICHIGAN (PIX11) — Dozens of homeowners living along a lake in Minnesota have plenty of cleaning up to do Tuesday morning.

A stream of partially melted ice slowly made its way ashore by strong winds in a phenomenon called an ice tsunami.

However, the National Weather Service says it’s technically called an “ice shove.”

Several homes and cabins along the lake were completely damaged and pushed off their foundations.

Unfortunately, for their owners, most insurance-policies do not cover the repairs.
