Fatal accident causes nightmare commute along BQE

BROOKLYN (PIX11) — A deadly crash in Brooklyn sparked massive delays along the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway Monday morning.

According to authorities, one woman was killed when her vehicle crashed into a guardrail near the intersection of South 4th and Roebling streets in Williamsburg at about 4:15 a.m.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

The fatal accident caused massive delays for morning commuters as it prompted officials to close the westbound BQE ramp to the westbound Williamsburg Bridge.
