(PIX11)– While some schools try to ban guns, at least five Pennsylvania state college campuses are allowing weapons.
Students can pack heat with their books after state lawyers concluded an outright ban on guns is unconstitutional.
The latest to scrap its no-guns policy is on legal grounds is Kutztown.
Before that Shippensburg, Edinboro, Slippery Rock and Millersville universities changed their policies this past year.
Though the weapons are allowed on campus, they are still banned from school buildings and athletic events.
Currently 23 states have the decision to ban or allow concealed weapons on campus.
Colorado, Mississippi, Oregon, Utah and Wisconsin allow firearms on their campuses.
