Neighbors at Smith Houses in Lower Manhattan say they have filed suit in city housing court against their landlord, the New York City Housing Authority. Tenant Association President Aixa Torres says repairs take too long and others neighbors say the orders are cancelled before being resolved. NYCHA says it is taking care of repairs with a new approach.

The city and NYCHA have also suggested the idea of selling pieces of the housing development property to raise money for the system. Neighbors question how that will impact their communities.
