(PIX11) – Signal malfunctions have caused major delays for three PATH train lines earlier today. The malfunctions led to the suspension of all service on the Newark-World Trade Center and Hoboken- World train center lines, which began right in the heart of rush hour. Soon after the 33rd Street-Journal Square line was shut down as well.
The delays created troubles for thousands of commuters and according to a spokesperson it took workers more than an hour to restore service on the World Trade Center lines.
As of right now, the Journal Square line is still shut down, so commuters will have to find another way home. But the agency stated that NJ Transit is honoring the tickets of PATH passengers affected by the delays.
