It’s a subtle approach and a little sweet-talking.

Police say it only takes seconds for a scammer to threaten to curse you if you don’t pay-up.

Sam Tsang, a liaison to the 61st Precinct and representative of Avenue U merchants says the Asian Enclaves in Brooklyn are getting hit hard with what’s known as a “Chinese Blessing Scam”

“A lot of customers wait in the lines to pay for their goods in popular stores. That’s when they {scammers} pick their targets,” Sam Tsang says.

And once the target is picked, Tsang says the scammers claim to have special powers. If the victims give them the brush off, they will then be hit u p for money or told their family will be cursed.

Tsang says nearly 12 businesses along Ave U have called him talking about these hustlers and asking for help.

“They know everything about you,” Tsang said “That’s how they con you. They tell you information they overhear you saying, then they use it against you to trick you.”
