BOSTON (PIX11) — When Watertown residents were ordered to stay in their homes Friday during the manhunt for Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, many families were forced to make due with whatever they had.
It took authorities, nearly 24 hours to locate Tsarnaev but it felt like an eternity for some including a family with young children who just happened to run out of milk.
When authorities lifted the lockdown, an officer with the Brookline Police Department was photographed delivering much-needed dairy to the family’s home.
The photo quickly went viral over the weekend, being shared on Facebook over 65,000 times.
The identity of the cop wasn’t immediately known.
