FBI swarms home of NJ woman identified as sister of bomb suspects

WEST NEW YORK, New Jersey (PIX11) — Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation have swarmed on a West New York apartment building where the sister of the two Boston bombing suspects reportedly lives.

Authorities have created a perimeter around the area, blocking media from the entering.

Published reports identify her as Alina Tsarnaeva.

In an interview with the Star Ledger, Tsarnaeva said she can’t quite wrap her head around what transpired this week in Massachusetts where her brothers 19-year-old Dzhokhar and 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev are accused of setting off two bombs during the Boston Marathon, killing 3 and injuring over 170.

“They were great people. I never would have expected it,” she told the New Jersey newspaper, acknowledge . “They are smart – I don’t know what’s gotten into them.”

Alina Tsarnaeva was reportedly cooperating with authorities were on the scene in an effort to gather information from her. She is not considered a suspect, officials said.
