FBI swarms home of NJ woman identified as sister of bomb suspects

WEST NEW YORK, New Jersey (PIX11) — Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation have swarmed on a West New York apartment building where the sister of the two Boston bombing suspects reportedly lives.

Authorities have created a perimeter around the area, blocking media from the entering.

Published reports identify her as Alina Tsarnaeva.

In an interview with the Star Ledger , Tsarnaeva said she can’t quite wrap her head around what transpired this week in Massachusetts where her brothers 19-year-old Dzhokhar and 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev are accused of setting off two bombs during the Boston Marathon, killing 3 and injuring over 170.

“They were great people. I never would have expected it,” she told the New Jersey newspaper, acknowledge . “They are smart – I don’t know what’s gotten into them.”

Alina Tsarnaeva was reportedly cooperating with authorities were on the scene in an effort to gather information from her. She is not considered a suspect, officials said.
