PIX11– Seven workers were killed while cleaning the inside of a brewery tank in Mexico City.
According to the Associated Press, the accident occurred early Sunday at the Grupo Modelo brewery when the workers were doing maintenance work inside the tank.
The investigations is underway to determine what exactly killed the workers. Mexican newspaper Mileno is reporting the workers died from inhaling toxic fumes.
Grupo Modelo offered their condolences in a statement saying, ““Modelo is deeply sorry for this incident and will support the affected families permanently.”
Grupo Modelo makes Corona as well as other beers popular in the United States.
