Rick Ross protest held outside Reebok store amid ‘rape’ backlash

People demonstrated against a popular shoe company over lyrics dropped recently by a popular rapper.

Dozens gathered outside Reebok’s flagship store Thursday in Manhattan .The group, called “Ultraviolet,” delivered thousands of petitions to the store this morning.

Protesters are angry Reebok hasn’t fired spokesman Rick Ross after rapping about drugging a woman and then raping her. Ross defended himself by saying he didn’t actually use the word “rape” in the song. He apologized on Thursday.
