Some stonework in New York City is crumbling. Any change to famous city surfaces creates from controversy. NYC Department of Transportation is trying to re-use as many of the old cobblestones as possible. Some recent work shows how the project is turning out.

The flagstones around Brooklyn Borough Hall are also breaking apart.

Parts of the Coney Island Boardwalk have bee replaced with cement and faux wood.

While I was walking around DUMBO, I found this sign. If anyone has info on the Metropolitan Etiquette Authority let me know.
