Legendary film critic Roger Ebert died Thursday, his long-time employer the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
For years, Ebert had been wrestling with cancer which ultimately took his voice and jaw, but not his spirit.
Despite the losses, the celebrated critic managed to continue to review over 200 movies a year for the Times.
He last took to Twitter two days ago, telling followers he was taking a “leave of presence.”
Ebert was 70.
