The breathtaking views of New York City are back, as the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey unveiled Tuesday the new observatory atop New York’s tallest building One World Trade Center.
Although One World Observatory will officially open its doors to the public in 2015, we got a stunning virtual sneak peak of the 3-story masterpiece. (Watch the video above.)
Visitors will start their journey in the lobby of 1 World Trade Center then will board high-speed “Skypod” elevators to the observatory which encompasses the 100th, 101st and 102nd floors.
The skypod elevators will feature a virtual experience which will give guests the feeling of being outside the building as they make their ascent in 60 seconds. Those with height phobias –need not apply.
Finally upon arrival to the 3-floor observation deck, visitors will be greeted with amazing views of New York City not seen since the original World Trade Center Twin Towers provided them before 9/11.
The observatory will include a restaurant and a WTC shop.
Although not on sale yet, according to Port Authority officials ticket prices will be more or less similar to other observatory attractions in the New York City area.
