Police are looking for two brazen robbers who held up a Bronx Kennedy Fried Chicken last Thursday night — one brandishing a shotgun and the other leisurely enjoying a nice cold soda.

On surveillance video taken around 10:58 p.m., one man threatens the workers with the gun while the other tries to quench his thirst, appearing to look at some snacks in the window.  He only drops the drink — with his DNA — to help pull the cash register out from behind the counter.

Casual Robbers

The aspiring stickup artists stroll out of Kennedy’s with the roll of receipts trailing behind them.

Police describe the man with the shotgun as a black male in his 40s, 6′, and heavy-set, and his thirsty friend as a black male in his 30s, about 5’9″ and 180 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto Crime Stoppers’ website at http://www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577.
