Friday night he suffered a heart attack.
David Ranta’s lawyer told the New York Times his client had a serious heart attack and is being treated at a New York hospital.
He was set free after a judge threw out his conviction in the killing of a Brooklyn rabbi in 1990.
Ranta, who is 58-years-old, told reporters his new freedom was emotionally overwhelming.
