PATH train service was suspended Tuesday afternoon at the WTC station due to ice falling around the World Trade Center station, according to officials.

The station was closed just before 6 p.m. as melting icicles fell from a tarp wrapped around the top of the tower and from neighboring buildings, according to reports.

New Jersey-bound riders were advised to enter at 33 St., 23 St., 14th St., 9th St. or Christopher St. stations.

At 7:12 p.m., the Port Authority announced that service between Hoboken and 33rd St. had returned to normal.

There were no reported injuries.
