Bryan Steinhauer, man beaten into coma years ago, runs New York Half-Marathon

It was a day of triumph for the victim of a brutal beating five years ago.

Bryan Steinhauer ran in the New York City Half-Marathon Sunday.  In 2008, the then Binghamton University student was beaten into a coma during a bar room fight.

He suffered a serious brain injury that left him nearly crippled.

Steinhauer used running to help with his therapy.

He plans to run the full marathon in November.
