EAST HARLEM, NEW YORK (PIX11)- The family of that 6-year-old boy hit by a tractor trailer in East Harlem has filed a $50 million lawsuit.
The city, the NYPD and crossing guard Flavia Roman, who was away from her post at the time, are named in the suit.
The New Jersey trucking company and the driver are named in a separate suit.
Amar Diarrassouba and his older brother were heading to school February 28th.
Investigators say the truck side-swiped him while leaving a nearby shopping mall at the corner of First Avenue and East 117th Street.
