FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY (PIX11)–  In a time where Danica Patrick has taken over the racing world and women are dunking all over the basketball court, it’s about time for things to also change on the field.

As you can tell, this story definitely has some kick in it as this kicker, 28-year-old Lauren Silberman spent the day sporting her skills on the football field, in front of NFL scouts.

Here at Florham Park Stadium, Silberman obtained the title of first ever female to try out for pro football.

We weren’t able to snag her for an interview today as her time was spent making history on the football field, but we were able to watch her tryout.

She announced that her goal this weekend was to kick a clean 60-yard-field goal.

Silberman, who lives in the East Village says she’s realistic about her chances, especially since she has mostly only played soccer.

This weekend is about something much bigger than trying out for the NFL, it’s about showing the sporting world, that anyone can try out, and anything is possible.
